Welcome to Our Day Nursery

Kingsfield Nursery is a private sessional nursery that cares for children from 2 to 4 years old. The nursery is based in Bodicote Village Hall. We have close links to the local community, we make regular visits to Forest Fun at Bishop Loveday school and Church. Our experienced and qualified staff provide an engaging environment for all children to grow and learn. We accept government funding for eligible 2, 3 and 4 year olds.

Morning sessions: 9:00 - 12:00

Afternoon sessions: 12:00 - 15:00

All day sessions from 9:00 - 15:00.

We are open in term time only, and do not hold inset days.

Nursery News!

Dear Parents, We only have 2 weeks left now of this term before the Easter break! The children have been very busy learning about how things change and grow. The sweetpeas that we planted at Nursery are growing in front of our eyes and we have loved hearing about and seeing all of the children's lovely cress heads ❤️ We have experimented with growing broad beans in clear plastic bags at Nursery this year - we are hoping that we will soon see the roots begin to sprout 🤞 This

Both of our children's speech and language have flourished here. My daughter has always been a communicator, but we initially had concerns about our son’s lack of speech. Within six months of attending, he went from saying just a few isolated words to speaking in full sentences- his vocabulary completely blows us away! It is clear that a language-rich environment is a real focus and strength of the nursery.
The nursery delivers Jolly Phonics sessions which both of our children thoroughly enjoy. My daughter's phonics skills have really impressed me; she is saying her phonemes beautifully and is beginning to orally blend with confidence. Both children also love writing and mark-making, and my daughter is so proud of the progress she has made with her letter formation after lunchtime each day.
We've also seen brilliant practical growth. My son is now confident with putting on his coat and shoes (which was previously a battle at home!). We have also been particularly surprised by the rapid pace of my daughter's number skills; she counts everything, recognizes numbers in the environment, and is even beginning to subitise numbers below five.
